Hello, I’m John Reed. When our current Councilwoman, Delishia Porterfield announced that she was not seeking re-election to District 29 and instead is running for Council-at-Large, I was excited for her to step up in a big way to help move Nashville forward. This also inspired me to step up to serve our community as our next councilman.
Over the past ten years, we have seen Nashville explode with development and growth. I believe it’s time we focus on our neighborhoods and especially the southeast communities. We must continue the great work our former councilwoman has started. As the next councilman, I will continue the fight for you and secure more investment in every neighborhood, from infrastructure to community services and more.
Together we can continue to make District 29 the best place to call home with safe, walkable communities and thriving small businesses. My goal as the next metro councilman for District 29 is to ensure whether you’re starting a family, starting a business or just starting out, District 29 is the community for you.
